Ashford United trials (2017-05-11) (2017-05-31)

Referee Courses (2017-05-07) (2017-08-31)

If you know of anyone who is perhaps coming to the end of their playing career, who wants a new outlook within the game, or perhaps a family member who could benefit from the fantastic opportunities officiating can provide then would you be kind enough to pass on the information below? Even if they have not expressed an interest, I would be grateful if you could perhaps ‘plant the seed'! We are also running an incentive scheme for new Candidates, whereby the course can be potentially discounted to just £50.   In order to qualify to attend a Referee Course, the ‘Get into Refereeing' Workshop is a pre-requisite and forms Unit 1 of the Course. All Candidates who are 17 and under MUST attend with a Parent/Guardian, and the Parent/Guardian must remain for the duration of the Workshop. In order for a Candidate to book onto a ‘Get into Refereeing' Workshop, then simply click on the relevant link below and scroll down to the bottom of the page. They must enter their own FAN number, or create one if they do not have one. If you are booking on behalf of somebody else, please ensure you enter the details of the Candidate who wishes to enrol onto the course, and not your own! Dates/Venues are as follows;   Monday 15th May 2017 - in Dartford, 7pm Start (Specifically geared towards supporting Female Recruitment and Participation)   Thursday 18th May 2017 - in Canterbury, 7pm Start   Thursday 08th June 2017 - Kent FA HQ, 7pm Start   Monday 03rd July 2017 - in Tonbridge, 7pm Start   Thursday 13th July 2017 - in Thanet, 7pm Start   Thursday 10th August 2017 - in Canterbury, 7pm Start   Wednesday 16th August 2017 - in Folkestone, 7pm Start   Each space costs £10, with payment being made through the online booking link only. All workshops subject to run, providing a minimum number of Candidates enrol. Referee Course dates WILL NOT appear on our website, but dates and venues will be provided only to those who successfully attend. Only those who have attended a workshop will be permitted to enrol onto a Referee Course. Referee Courses will commence from July 2017, through until November 2017, and will be throughout the County.    As a side note, if Candidates are still playing, they may need to make a decision as to whether they continue to focus on this route in football, or indeed sacrifice this to focus on being a referee; it is difficult to balance both commitments. Whilst we do encourage players to ‘take up the whistle', we expect all trainee referees to sign up to a League as we will be looking to appoint them to League games during their training period.    See attached flyer       Kind Regards   Nick   Nick Dunn | Referee Development Officer Kent County Football Association Invicta House | Cobdown Park | London Road Ditton | Near Aylesford | Kent | ME20 6DQ M: 07878 465550 | T: 01622 792 140   @KentFA | www.KentFA.com     Registered in England No. 4088537

Kent Youth League join in as #KentFAThanksU (2017-05-02) (2017-05-31)

By Charlotte Richardson

From the 1st to 14th May 2017, the Kent FA will be shinning the spotlight on Kent’s football volunteers as #KentFAThanksU.

Clubs and leagues from across Kent will be getting involved by sending, tweeting and posting photos and saying thanks to the amazing volunteers that make football in Kent happen. Over the course of the two weeks Kent FA Youth Council ambassadors and staff will be surprising some of our very special volunteers with thank you gifts.

The Kent Youth League is proud to be part of #KentFAThanksU by sharing our volunteer stories, posting pictures on social media and thanking them through the hashtag #KentFAThanksU.

Volunteers underpin everything we do, so we’re very proud to be part of the celebrations which we will help support and recruit volunteers. We ask clubs to use this opportunity as a way of thanking the people who help them to be a part of this League, if they tag us in all social posts, we'll happily spread the thanks.

The Kent FA website will be the home of articles showcasing some of our volunteers as well as a comprehensive toolkit to support clubs and leagues to join in with the celebrations.
