On the 23rd of May, our CEO Ken Brooke had the very sad task of informing you of the passing of a true legend of Kent Football, Colin Boswell.
Colin, our founder and Life President, passed away after a short battle against cancer.
Colin set up the youth league in 1981 and was formidable in his passion for creating opportunity for players across the county. Colin was also President of the Kent FA and had served Kent football for over 50 years.
As a tribute to Colin and in line with a request from his family, we are kindly asking the Kent Youth League family – if they are able and would like – to donate to Cancer Research UK.
There is a massive hole in our football world which will be impossible to fill. We thank everyone for their tributes to Colin. As a league, as a committee and as friends of Colin, we will miss him dearly and always be grateful for his dedicated service, friendly smile and warm demeanour.
